![]() The gameplay is solid and the hitboxes in each enemy ranges from reasonable to perfect. It just felt so average to me but for a $1.99 app, it’s kinda expected. I was also a bit disappointed with the sound effects. The music is epic that’s for sure but I was tired of listening of the same darn thing in each level. However, I was disappointed with the variety of background music. Everything from the player character to the enemies that you constantly fight looks amazing and well-designed. If there’s one thing that easily noticeable, it’s the great retro atmosphere. However, this isn’t a Mario game so you’ll have to use your sword to kill it. You are greeted with some NPCs that tell you the controls and once you pass them, you end up staring at the first enemy. Since this game is a platformer, this is expected. It’s a game that you could expect to see in a SNES and it reminds me of a good but short version of Zelda 2 on the NES.Īs soon as you pick the first level, you are immediately thrown into the game. Anyway, Goblin Sword is a platformer with some Final Fantasy inspired graphics. So, I’ll be reviewing “Goblin Sword” which is something that I really enjoyed playing (for the most part). Yeah, I’ve been watching a lot of “The Completionist” and I decided to write some reviews based on his approach. From now on, I’ll only review games that I have 100% completed.
